I. CCD barcode scanner


CCD handheld barcode scanner uses the principle of photoelectric coupling (CCD) to image the barcode printing pattern and then decode it. Advantages:Shaftless, motor, long service life. Cheap price. When choosing a CCD scan gun, two parameters are important:



1, depth of field due to the CCD scan gun imaging principle similar to a camera, if you want to increase the depth of field, the lens should be increased accordingly, so that the CCD scanner is too large and inconvenient to operate.


2, resolution If you want to improve the resolution of the CCD scanner, it is necessary to increase the unit element of the imaging photosensitive element. Low-cost CCD handheld barcode scanner is generally 500 pixels (pixel), which is generally enough to read EAN, UPC and other commercial barcodes, and will be more difficult to read for other barcode systems. Mid-range CCD handheld scanners are in excess of 1024 pixels, some even reach 2048 pixels, which can distinguish * narrow 0.1mm barcode unit.


CCD handheld scanner gun can be read without close to the barcode, and the volume is moderate and comfortable to operate.

Second, laser barcode scanner gun

Laser handheld barcode scanner is a single-line scanner with laser two very tubes as the light source, mainly has two kinds of rotating mirror and vibrating mirror. The rotating mirror type uses a high-speed motor to drive the prism set to rotate, so that the single point laser emitted by the two very tubes becomes a single line. The manufacturing cost of the original fiber mirror type is lower than that of the rotating mirror type, but the laser gun of this principle is not easy to improve the scanning speed, which is generally 33 times/second.



When choosing a laser barcode scanner gun, it is important to pay attention to the scanning speed and resolution, the depth of field is not a key factor. Because when the depth of field increases, the resolution is greatly reduced. High-quality handheld laser scan gun should have high scanning speed and high resolution within a certain depth of field.
